Mpaka LongJohn was born into the family of Oyinrinwaro house of Abbi Compound Buguma in Asari Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State. Today, Mpaka LongJohn is the founder and president of MLJ Marine Oil And Gas including other chains of business within and outside Rivers State.

He has been widely recognised because of his humanitarian assistance to several communities in his hometown and to many individuals which includes his donation of a 3000 water head tank to a community hospital in Ido, he basically have received various awards and laurels including a patron award from Kalabari Television.
